Who: Sweet Indie Tunes is run by a well established music blogger/net label owner.

Why: There is a mountain of free music to be found all over the web because savvy bands and labels offer up downloads to promo their releases. The problem with this of course is that most of the music is atrocious. Sweet Indie Tunes has been developed to filter out the best stuff so you won’t have to waste any time separating the wheat from the chaff. Nothing will appear on here unless it has received our seal of approval so you can download to your hearts content – guilt free in the knowledge that the music is already readily available gratis from the copyright holders. We will be adding tunes at an alarmingly quick rate with the newest entries holding pride of place at the top of the Sweet Indie Tunes homepage so make sure you check back regularly.

You: If you like any of the songs you’ve downloaded please offer up your rating of them at the bottom of the band page. The most popular artists will receive extra coverage on the Sweet Indie Tunes front page so your feedback is important. First and foremost though we hope that you will support your favourite new band by buying their albums and merchandise and also going to their shows.

Creation: If you are in a band and would like to have some of your songs featured please get in touch. Please remember though that you will have to host the songs yourself as this means we can avoid unpleasant messages from those in the industry who might be offended by such things. Please don’t be upset if we don’t feature you and remember there are thousands of music blogs out there willing to give you a helping hand.

Anger: If you are in a band/label and are unhappy that we have linked to your site please let us know so we can talk it through. If we can’t come to a resolution together we will of course take down the links.

Bowl: Finally if you would like to advertise on this site please contact us but remember, like with our tune choices, we’re ridiculously picky.
